How many AICTE approved colleges are there in India?

In financial year 2021, about 4,069 All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institutes had undergraduate courses across India. Furthermore, there was almost five thousand approved educational institutes with postgraduate courses in that year.

Which is better AICTE or UGC?
